The Soloist
 

This is the absorbing true story of how an L.A. Times reporter attempts to befriend a mentally disturbed street person who had studied at Juilliard (a first-tier music school in New York City). Jamie Foxx gives an utterly believable performance as Nathaniel Ayers, the homeless string player plagued by demons. Things do not go smoothly - ethical quandaries and other messy adult stuff quickly rear their ugly head.
