 Listener Safari 2007

February 2007

I asked my 18 year-old niece over the Christmas break what she was listening to these days and she without any prompting instantly said "crossover", one of the terms I use frequently on this site. She will major in arts administration when she starts college next year, so her response and picks may be a bit more rarified than the average 18 year-old's. 'Youth meets tradition' might characterize the artists at the top of her list. She even spelled all their names correctly for me from memory! - a refreshing change from people I know who went through primary school in the 1970s when the bottom fell out of American education and can't spell worth a darn. Her picks -
